Nellim Wilderness Hotel
Nellim Wilderness Hotel was the first Wilderness Hotel that was established. Nellim is a village located on the shore of Lake Inari – one of the biggest lakes in Finland. Nellim is tucked away in the remote wilderness approximately 26 miles northeast of Ivalo and 6 miles away from the Russian border. The serene location creates beautiful encounters with the wildlife in the Arctic and makes Nellim an extraordinary place to see the Northern Lights.
Flight connections from the UK usually depart in London or Manchester and fly via Helsinki to Ivalo. The drive from the airport to the resort takes roughly 45 min.

Snowmobiling (daytime)

Reindeer Day with Snowmobile
Throughout this guided excursion you will be led to a reindeer enclosure and learn about the way of life in the North. Finish your excursion with lunch by the open fire to round of the day.
Husky Safari
You can’t miss out on a Husky Safari! Meet the huskies, who are eagerly awaiting to pull you through the Arctic Wilderness. You will receive instructions on how to guide your team of dogs and meet your husky companions before departing. The tour will lead you past the frozen Lake Inari and ensures gorgeous scenery.
Aurora Snowshoeing

Aurora Camp
Relax and sit back in a Snowmobile Sledge while your guide takes you to Lake Inari. This way you can look out for the Northern Lights all the way until arriving at the camp site. Lake Inari is a top spot to watch the Northern Lights as there is zero light pollution.
