What our customers say
From start to finish it was everything we could have hoped for. From mushing with huskies to the snowmobile safari to the fact that we saw the spectacular Northern Lights it was brilliant. I would thoroughly recommend going to the Ice hotel, absolutely booking with Arctic Direct and hope you enjoy the entire experience as much as we did. Angus and Ruth.

Sweden has a truly unique environment and offers a variety of fascinating hotels, including ice hotels. If you want to make memories with your family, and strengthen your bond, a holiday to Sweden may be what you are looking for.

The best time to visit Sweden with the family
The time of year you are best advised to visit Sweden depends on what sort of sights you want to see. If you want to go during the high season, which is June to August, you’ll get to experience the midnight sun and warmer temperatures.
However, if you want to indulge in winter activities alongside your family, or go to see the Northern Lights, you should go in winter. This is around November to March. Just keep in mind that if you want to visit the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, it is only open between December and April.
If you go during winter, you should find that you get more snow for skiing, snowmobiling and ice skating. It may also help if you want to get the full experience with saunas, geothermal areas, and sitting around warm log fires with your family.
